Food I make - part 3

Subtle dietary changes don't lead to drastic results, but eating healthy for a long period of time transforms anybody.  Some changes we have observed is disappearance of allergies, smoother skin, younger looking, shiny eyes, I've even noticed reversal of greying in others!

I want to motivate my friends and those reading my posts to eat more healthfully.  If only a few people change their dietary habits thanks to me, I will feel as a huge success.  The changes I have been experiencing via making valid healthful choices in my diet are worth spreading the news.

Some of the best discoveries this summer: okra and yellow beets!  Why are there so many vegetables and edible plants that we don't use in cooking or not eating at all?  The funniest thing is when I am at the grocery checkout, most of the time the clerk is so confused: what is this, and what is that?  Never heard of stuff like that!  At least we are seeing that stuff in our grocery stores and this is a big hope for the health future of America.

This is okra, it tastes nice and mild
Rainbow trout from new HyVee seafood department, it was tasty just too big!
Nothing beats a nice fruit salad
 My farmers market bounty
And french crapes - oh yes, my kids love them (not the healthiest food indeed)!
Made with all farmer fresh ingredients, the most tasty were the potatoes and chard too!  Everything was tasty!
The more varieties I try, the more I want to experiment with food
My new favorite vegetable is yellow beets - they are so delicious!
 Chard!

Des Moines

I went around and took some pictures of Des Moines.  Here is what resulted in one hour of work.
Do you recognize where all these places are?

More photos of friends

Artists are interesting creatures.  We get fascinated with tasks and tools that produce some kind of beautiful product.  Take me as an example.  I discover something and dive to the depth of it until something else captures my attention.  Essentially my artistic nature is helpful in making our entire life prettier, since I've got "the eye" for it!  It matters how we decorate, how food looks on the plate, esthetic permeates everything we do.  Really people always ask me what looks good, and I can tell them with confidence.

Currently I am developing my understanding of the Nikon SLR camera which I've owned for multiple years.  Technically I am getting a lot better with the manual mode, and my friends are being so nice to volunteer to be my models and have me practice.  Pretty soon I'll be able to charge people who want photos like these.  Here are just some cool photos I took this month.  Models: Megan and Senada.

Photo Duel

Here are some photos from the Photo Duel with Alex Borzo, a talented Des Moines based photographer.  This duel was really fun!  I am looking for more models (male and female) to shoot as this is inspiring insight into an art form I have not visited much previously

I took this portrait of Alex

Alex took this portrait of me

I liked the perspective and light here
Alex liked my pose

I liked how Alex posed laying on the floor, I positioned her legs this way

Alex wanted me to get into this pose as I refused laying on the concrete in white pants

She is super cute here in front of the elevator
Alex thinks I am windswept here

I liked her pose and light here
Alex liked how my eyes cached light

Let us know what do you think about this duel!  We had a lot of fun taking pictures of each other.
I have used Nikon SLR, and Alex used Cannon SLR camera.

Fun with kids

I had quite a bit of fun taking pictures with my children this summer.
